Go Green…Juice That Is!

"Juicing" is the popular trend of combining fruits, vegetables, ice, and sometimes coconut or almond milk to create a drink.  Done at home, a healthy juice can be a wonderful addition to your morning routine or a tasty dessert.  Juicing is a way to get your daily vegetables in easily, while enjoying a healthy treat.  Easy to transport, a homemade fresh juice is loaded with antioxidants and can be low calorie.  Be careful with your fruit and vegetable choice.  Try to use multiple vegetables, and no more than one fruit, or your juice may end up high calorie and loaded with sugar.

The best way for your body to consume vitamins is through fruits and veggies and what better way then having it in a drink. A juice you make yourself or buy from Sweetberry Bowls is much more beneficial then a store bought juice for one good reason. Store bought juices add sugars to it giving it a much sweeter taste and bumping up the calorie content making it not as healthy. Below you will find an easy and quick recipe to make your own.

It’s not always easy getting in 5 servings of veggies a day, so drinking a veggie packed juice is an easy way to go. A green juice is fiber packed keeping you feeling full throughout the day. Because the vegetables are already blended and liquefied your body will have an easier time digesting them and not making you feel bloated. A green juice whether it’s for breakfast or a midday snack will give you long lasting energy that will keep you going throughout the day without crashing.

Don’t think of having a green juice just to lose weight. Processed foods and animal products leave an acidic ash in our body. Raw food promotes alkalinity, which means less inflammation and more energy. An acid body leaves you feeling tired, depressed, achy and tired. An alkaline body keeps you feeling energized, flexible and balanced. Green juice is beneficial for alkalizing your body and just one sip will go a long way. Start today and add a green juice to your daily routine!
